Resveratrol Health Benefits – What Are the Effects on Other Illnesses
The benefits derived from resveratrol have grown tremendously over the past few years. Some of the resveratrol health benefits include treatment for gastritis, alcoholism, liver disease, multiple sclerosis, back problems, etc. It also offers protection from radiation. A recent study has found that chronic low level inflammation of the stomach which leads to gastritis, peptic ulcers and gastric cancer is caused by helicobacter pylori, which is a bacterium that is found in the intestinal tract. Resveratrol can be used to prevent or treat people suffering from these illnesses. Studies conducted at a leading medical centre showed that when resveratrol is injected into the spine cartilage of cattle, it drastically reduces the progression of the inter vertebral disc degeneration. This shows that resveratrol health benefits can also be used to treat back problems. Alcoholism causes fat accumulation and leads to liver diseases and also liver failure. A study of alcoholic mice showed that resveratrol helped reduce the fat accumulated in the liver and also increased the rate at which the fat was broken down. This indicates that resveratrol can probably be used in the treatment of alcoholism and liver disease. Further Resveratrol Health Benefits also include a recent study on mice which showed that when the mice were administered with resveratrol and with acetyl before being exposed to radiation, they were protected from the effects of radiation.
